‘Waves’ was inspired by a photograph and is an acrylic painting of 60cm x 50cm. Before starting this artwork, I had not painted for quite a while, and rediscovering waves as a subject of figurative painting was an awe for me. Building up the movement and rhythm of this piece with textures, lines and random shapes was an intricate but inspiring process.
