Serenity is an acrylic painting of 80cm x 70cm, and has been created by choosing two sceneries and merging together. It was also by choice that the colours of the sea and sky tend to go green, instead of the bright cobalt sky blue. This artwork is far from being hyper realistic, and my aim was to show emotions through my brushstrokes. This piece was inspired after a quick stroll and swim at the beach of Flic en Flac. The feeling of renewal, rebirth and relief is one that I rarely come to know, and going for a swim at the beach really allowed me to change my state of mind, my mood and brought me calm and peace.
