‘Escape’ is an acrylic painting on a canvas of 100cm x 60cm. With these tints and shades of turquoise, I played with the strong chiaroscuro effect which was already present in the photograph which inspired me. My paintings tend to be figurative, but the most important, particularly in this one, is to connect with reality on another level, through visual poetry and emotion which can be felt through each brushstroke.
