Baltic Sea is a painting of 80cm x 60cm and is an amalgamation of acrylic painting and pour art. My source of inspiration was an underwater photograph where the details of waves and foam created a large amount of texture all over the image. This artwork has been taken over by a non-figurative style, as I felt the struggle when I attempted to give life to the details. The intensity of this art piece comes in the choice of colours. My colour scheme has remained the same since I began to depict the ocean in my artworks, but I feel that this one has been placed in such a way to convey emotion and depth. It has been named ‘Baltic Sea’, as it represents a rough and challenging sea, which we need to conquer.
