‘Early morning’ is a 150cm x 80cm acrylic painting of the sea, inspired by a photograph taken on the east coast of Mauritius. The scene in this artwork is quite peaceful, and yet, I feel that there is a touch of melancholy to it. The cold, dark blue colors mixed with the darker and lighter shades of grey are balanced by a yellowish beige.
