I live in Mauritius and have a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts from the School of Fine Arts of the Mahatma Gandhi Institute. I specialized in painting and my preferred medium to work with is acrylic, even though I constantly aim at exploring various media and experimenting with different materials.
I have always been passionate about semi-realistic portraits, and since high school, this subject has been my favorite. Towards the end of my tertiary studies in 2015, I turned to non-figurative and experimental shapes in my art pieces.
My fascination for the ocean started to appear in my paintings during the last months of 2018, when I was executing live painting sessions on the beach and in a hotel on the west coast of the island. I have always been attracted by the color blue, and I find as much calm as I find intensity when I paint with this color.
